What is the Odaiba district?

Odaiba is the heart of the maritime district in Tokyo, and it is a place where Tokyo has been expanding its urban development. It is also a general term for the Daiba area in the Minato ward of Tokyo and its surrounding environs.

What to See?

1. Odaiba Kaihin Koen Park

Odaiba Kaihin Koen is a quiet, spacious park facing the inlet of Tokyo bay. From the park, you can see many ships and boats come and go under the Rainbow Bridge, which spans the Tokyo bay. On the seashore, you can hang out and relax on the sandy beach and even enjoy windsurfing if you want.

2. Palette Town

Palette Town is the name of the area around Aoumi Station on the Yurikamome line. It is located in the southeast of Odaiba Kaihin Koen Park. Its main landmark is the Japan’s second largest grand Ferris wheel.

Venus Fort is a shopping mall in Palette Town designed in the style of 18th-century European towns. Inside Venus Fort, you can find nearly 200 businesses, including fashion, cosmetics, and designer goods stores, along with cafes and restaurants. It is an extremely popular spot, especially among young women.

In Palette Town, you can also find many other facilities, such as the automobile theme park MEGA WEB, the indoor amusement park Tokyo Leisure Land, and more.

3. DiverCity Tokyo Plaza

Heading west of Pallet Town, you can find DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, a large commercial complex with a theme of “Theatrical City Space.” The shops inside include Uniqlo, H&M, Forever 21, Zara, and other many popular fashion brands, both domestic and international.

As for entertainment sites, you can find Gundam Front Tokyo and Zepp DiverCity. Their dining establishments include a large variety, from a gigantic food court, Tokyo Gourmet Stadium, to the peculiar maid cafe Maidreamin.

4. Various Museums
